Practice, practice, practice. The typical life of a dancer. I headed back to dance this week after having two weeks off for Christmas Break. Let me tell you, breaks away from dance are the worst thing to have. On Monday I had ballet, for the warm up session Larissa and I are the only ones allowed to wear pointe shoes..lucky us. For those of you who don't know what pointe shoes are, there like ballet shoes made out of ribbon with a flat rectangular bottom with cement in them. Sound painful yet? Well we have to wear these blue gel covers for our feet so basically our toes don't break off.. yay!
A typical ballet class consists of a warm up, stretching, demonstrating across the floor, learning a dance or combination, then we curtsy at the end and clap for a job well done. Well I don't want to explain everything now so I'll write more later. Enjoy!
Yes, it does sound painful! I'm looking forward to learning more about dance :)
